OpenSea Embedded Wallet Feature Crosses a Milestone

In other NFT news, the popular NFT marketplace OpenSea has recently enabled its users to sign up and create a wallet with just an email address.

By the start of the month, over 100,000 users have signed up with email to create its embedded wallet.

That’s a big number!

Only three weeks after launch we’ve crossed a major milestone — over 100K+ users have signed up with email to create an @OpenSea embedded wallet. Onboarding has never been easier.

— OpenSea (@opensea) February 1, 2024

The marketplace announced this feature on January 9.

It stated that its new onboarding experience allows all users to create an OpenSea account with a self-custodied crypto wallet using just their email – no separate extensions needed.

This wallet is fully integrated with OpenSea. Users can buy, sell, send, and receive crypto and NFTs, manage funds, and view transactions on the blockchain.

The wallet supports all nine EVM-based chains compatible with OpenSea.

Also, users can fund wallets and buy NFTs using a credit or debit card.
